You already have a MIG. Maybe a TIG.
Why would you spend money on a gas flame – a technique more than a hundred years old?
Dillon does not do the same thing as your other welders. It does things they cannot.
Low pressure, narrow heat zone
Both gases at 0.5 bar. The flame becomes soft and concentrated – heat stays where you put it.
Thin sheet without holes
1 mm aluminium and 0.8 mm steel sheet weld without burn-through. Body panel is home ground.
The joint can be worked
Fusion-welded joint without hard filler. You can hammer, file and planish it – like the sheet around it.
Cast iron that holds
Structural repairs in cracked castings – engine blocks, manifolds, machine stands.
Braze steel without flux
Bare copper wire is enough. The soft flame does not oxidise the surface – no flux at all!
No electricity needed
No circuit boards, no three-phase, no power pack to carry. If you have the cylinders you have a complete workshop – in the field too.
Pick the right kit
Same torch and the same 0.5 bar technology – the difference is the accessories. Unsure? Most hobby users are fine with Standard, and Pro accessories can be bought separately later.
