Manganese Bronze Brazing Rods – First-Class Universal Filler Metal

Our versatile manganese bronze brazing rod is one of the most valued filler materials for professional brazing and oxy-acetylene torch work. It is an extremely flexible alloy that creates an exceptionally strong bond on a wide variety of different metals, making it an indispensable product in any workshop.

This alloy is particularly known for its excellent fluidity and its unique ability to "wet" surfaces effectively, resulting in smooth, dense, and durable joints with high tensile strength.

    Features and Benefits:

    • Broad material compatibility: Perfect for joining and repairing steel, cast iron, copper, bronze, and brass.
    • High strength: Provides a joint with very good mechanical strength that can withstand significant stress and vibrations.
    • Low working temperature: As a hard solder, it melts before the base material does, which drastically minimizes the risk of deformation in the workpiece.
    • Easy to work with: Flows smoothly and is easy to control, even with more complex joint preparations.

Important for a successful result: To achieve a strong bond and prevent oxidation during brazing, our Bronze/Copper flux must be used. The flux chemically cleans the surface and allows the solder to flow smoothly into the smallest gaps.

    Specifications & Sizes:

We stock this filler metal in a dimension that is excellent for both general repairs and construction work:

    • Dimension: 2.5 mm diameter.
    • Length: 1000 mm.
    • Packaging: 1.0 kg pack.
    • Type: Manganese bronze brazing rod.
    • Welding method: Oxy-acetylene brazing / gas welding.

Usage: Heat the end of the rod with the welding flame and dip it into the flux. Then apply the solder to the preheated workpiece and watch it flow smoothly over the joint for a professional, clean result.
