The visionary from Adelaide
In the 1970s, inventor Ed Dillon grew tired of traditional torches with too much residual heat, warped thin sheet metal, and aluminum or cast iron repairs that turned into a complete nightmare. After eleven years of development, the torch was launched on the market in the early 1980s.
Low-pressure technology
At the core is a unique mixing chamber. Instead of high working pressures, Dillon operates at a constant, extremely low pressure for oxygen and acetylene – only 0.5 bar.
- Less gas — lower consumption than many ordinary systems

Scandria AB in the Nordic Region
Nordisk Industrirobot Scandria AB began selling the Dillon torch in Sweden and the Nordic countries in 1982. Initially, the unique system was met with some skepticism from the market – but that quickly changed as soon as welders saw the outstanding results on thin aluminium and complex cast iron repairs first-hand. Since then, Scandria AB has proudly stood behind the brand in the region.
