Weld 1 mm aluminium without burning through
The mixing chamber and 0.5 bar give a soft, extremely concentrated flame. Full control, minimal heat spread.

Repair cracked castings – structurally
Cast iron cracks easily as the weld cools. The soft flame gives full control of the puddle and a homogeneous result that matches the original material.

Braze steel with copper cable – with no flux at all
The clean, concentrated flame lays a protective atmosphere over the puddle. The copper flows out and forms a tight joint – an experiment that shows how well the flame stops oxidation.

Full control, minimal heat spread
The mixing chamber and 0.5 bar give a soft, concentrated flame. Pro adds intermediate sizes, acetylene/air for tin packing and extensions into beams and wheel wells – the same 0.5 bar technology as Standard.

What you need beyond the kit
If you already have oxy-acetylene gear, your cylinders, regulators and hoses fit directly.
- Oxygen and acetylene – standard cylinders, small ones are enough.
- Regulators for both gases, 0–1 bar.
- Low-pressure twin hose – existing equipment usually fits.
- Welding goggles DIN 5 and gloves.
Can I use existing cylinders and regulators?
Yes. If you already have oxy-acetylene gear, your cylinders, regulators and hoses fit directly – standard hose works. Both gases run at 0.5 bar.
Can I run propane or LPG?
Yes — with our Propane kit. The Standard and Pro kits are for acetylene; for propane/LPG you need the Propane kit.
Which materials can I weld and cut?
Steel, stainless, aluminium, cast iron, cast aluminium, brass and copper. Weld up to 8–10 mm, cut up to 25 mm steel.
Do I need flux?
Aluminium and cast iron: yes. Steel: no. Flux and wire are in the Wire & flux pack.
Why 0.5 bar and not higher pressure?
Low velocity gives a soft, concentrated flame without turbulence. The heat goes where you aim it, and the result is soft, workable seams – even in 0.8 mm sheet.
When should I not buy a Dillon?
If you lay long seams in heavy structural steel on a production line, MIG is faster. Dillon is for the jobs in between.
