Stainless steel welding rod – High-quality stainless steel (347)
Our high-performance stainless steel welding rod type 347 is a stabilized filler metal specifically developed for demanding gas welding and TIG welding applications. By targeted alloying with Niobium (Nb), chromium carbide precipitation is effectively blocked. This ensures that the welded joint retains its full corrosion resistance even after intense heating or during operations at elevated temperatures.
This rod is the optimal choice for constructions exposed to high temperatures or aggressive environments, where maximum safety against corrosion attacks is required.
Features and benefits:
- Niobium-stabilized: Provides superior protection against intergranular corrosion in and around the weld seam, even at operating temperatures up to 400°C.
- Excellent resistance: Outstanding resistance to acids and oxidizing environments.
- Versatile application: Perfect for exhaust systems, chemical industries, food processing equipment, and pressure vessels.
- Professional finish: Delivers a smooth, clean weld bead with minimal spatter and high precision.
Important for a successful result: For gas welding in stainless steel, our dedicated stainless steel flux must always be used. The flux protects the weld pool from oxygen and eliminates the oxides formed during heating – a fundamental prerequisite for a leak-proof and durable joint.
