Aluminum Flux – For Precision Welding in Aluminum
Our reliable aluminum flux is an indispensable product for gas welding aluminum and its alloys. Aluminum naturally forms a very hard and tough oxide layer that melts at a significantly higher temperature than the metal itself. This flux is designed to effectively break down and remove oxides so you can create a clean and strong weld joint.
By using the correct flux, you gain full control over the weld pool and ensure that the filler material flows out properly without inclusions.
Features and Benefits:
- Powerful Oxide Removal: Dissolves the hard-to-melt oxide layer immediately upon heating.
- Improved Flow: Lowers the surface tension in the weld pool, allowing the aluminum filler rod to wet and perfectly bond with the workpiece.
- High Visibility: Provides a clear view of the melt during operation, which facilitates precision.
- Highly Economical: The composition is concentrated, meaning very little flux is required to achieve optimal effect.
Usage & Pro Tips:
For best results and control, it is recommended that the flux is only applied to the filler rod:
- Heat the end of the aluminum filler rod with the welding flame and dip it into the powder.
- Then gently heat directly on the flux that has stuck to the rod. This causes the flux to melt and run down the rod, covering a larger area and providing a more even supply during welding.
Specifications:
- Type: Flux for gas welding aluminum.
- Packaging: 180g.
- Area of Use: Welding and repair of aluminum sheet, cast aluminum, and profiles.
- Compatibility: Optimized for use with our aluminum filler rods.
After welding, any remaining flux residues should be washed off with warm water and a brush to prevent future corrosion.
